A national title for Low Point athletes

Low Point is the USWRA division for athletes with the most significant impairments allowed in wheelchair rugby. Player classifications are generally 0.5 to 1.5. The division's summer season ends with the national championship in Irving.

Wheelchair rugby is a mixed-gender, full-contact team sport played in specialized chairs on a basketball court. Four players per team take the court. Chair-on-chair contact is legal, and a team scores when the ball carrier crosses the goal line.

Volunteers help run every game

RISE needs to fill 24 table-crew seats across six shifts. Volunteers serve as scorekeepers, timekeepers, 40-second operators, and penalty timekeepers. RISE trains each volunteer to use its tournament scoreboard system. View the shifts and volunteer.

Championship weekend schedule

Friday and Saturday each feature five round-robin games, with starts from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. Sunday has the third-place game at 9 a.m. and the championship final at 10:45 a.m. All games are on Court 1 at Georgia Farrow Recreation Center. View every matchup and game time.

The championship is made possible by C & R Medical Supplies and Classic Chevrolet, with support from the City of Irving and Master's Transportation. Catering to Love is the tournament's catering partner.
