Annual report

How we're doing

The numbers a funder, a family, or a board member should be able to find in one place — each one with its basis, none of them polished. Updated once a year.

What got built

Between 2023 and 2025, RISE and its funders — led by a $100,000 award from the Hoblitzelle Foundation — built a custom 300-foot accessible dock on Lake Grapevine, the only one of its kind on a North Texas public lake. Total cost: $267,949, paid in full. It anchors every free water program RISE runs.

How programs are designed

Every RISE program line follows a written design — what goes in, what happens, what changes for the people in it. The one-page designs for water sports and court sports were completed in 2026, and RISE's first participant outcomes survey fields the same year to measure the changes directly.

  • Water sports — the dock and lake programs: sustained outdoor activity, often someone's first sport after injury.
  • Court sports — rugby (running continuously since 2008), football, and open gym: teams, seasons, and the social fabric that comes with them.
