Access is part of the work

Accessibility

RISE wants its public website and program information to be usable by people with disabilities. The owned public site is designed and tested toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA, while recognizing that automated checks and a standards target do not guarantee that every person will encounter no barrier.

Current support

What the owned site provides

  • Keyboard access, visible focus, and a skip-to-content link
  • Responsive reflow and text enlargement without a separate mobile site
  • Light, dark, and high-contrast appearance choices
  • Reduced-motion support when the browser or operating system requests it
  • Semantic headings, labels, landmarks, and descriptive image alternatives
  • A contact fallback that remains available when JavaScript is unavailable

Limits

Where to confirm before relying

  • RAM registration pages and external media or news sites are separate services with their own accessibility practices.
  • Venue conditions, meeting points, and activity accommodations can vary by program date and should be confirmed before travel.
  • Older linked documents or third-party content may not meet the same standard as the owned site.

Feedback

If something gets in the way

Tell RISE what page or task caused difficulty, what happened, and the browser or assistive technology involved if you are comfortable sharing it. Do not include medical details. RISE will use the information to investigate and provide the same information or service through another channel when practical.

Use the accessibility contact topic, email info@riseadaptivesports.org, or call (972) 292-8650.
