All three groups will be competing for large cash prizes. There will also be a beginners WCMX & Adaptive Skate Clinic on Saturday. Over 2,000 spectators are expected to attend throughout the two-day event. There will be 20′ video screens capturing all of the action.
Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham of Nitro Circus fame is scheduled on Friday for autograph, photo and interview sessions, and to compete with Christiaan “Otter” Bailey and many of Team Box riders on Saturday for WCMX bragging rights. At Wheelz’s request RISE is constructing a specific ramp for him to be able to perform his infamous wheelchair back-flip. Also, in attendance will be the youngest ever WCMX rider, Abel “Fearless” Rose.
There will be Pro WCMX/BMX/Skate riders giving instruction on tricks and techniques.
Participants will test their skills on our Pro ramp course.
Each participant will be assigned 1-2 volunteers who will assist, spot and encourage riders and skaters.
If riders are unable to push their own wheelchairs, volunteers will navigate them through the course. All safety pads and helmets will be provided by RISE Adaptive Sports.
